"It's always wonderful to get to know women, with the mystery and the joy and the depth. If you can make a woman laugh, you're seeing the most beautiful thing on God's Earth."

~ Keanu Reeves

Hello Beautiful Soul! πŸ’•

May this newsletter find you in good health and joy!

While I enjoy a good movie, I've never really been that enthralled by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood or the entertainment industry. I don't experience fanfare towards stars with a handful of exceptions, like Keanu Reeves. I find him to be so fascinating because he seems very simple, open hearted and mysterious. You may have noticed that I like to include quotes in my newsletters to support my messages and I was tickled to find this one of his. Ladies, I think he's onto something really profound here.

If you've been following me for awhile, you know I love road trips and adventure. I've been spending time exploring the Southwest for relocation and somewhat experimenting with nomadism. I know driving long distances is not everyone's cup of tea but my gosh, you can't imagine how much it fills my soul. I've recently had the opportunity to do some housesits, mostly in Taos and have been reveling in the joy of the rides to get to my destinations.

I'm totally in love with New Mexico and getting confirmation messages that there's something special for me here. I have no idea what, how or the when of it, but I've decided to just keep an open heart and mind to what unfolds. There's even been a sense of familiarity like I've lived here before especially when I'm in nature. I imagine that's what a cellular memory is. Yes, I recognize that some may think that sounds crazy but that's my truth and I'm sticking to it. 😁

Some of the most tangible messages have been coming in the form of rainbows. I've seen more rainbows in the last 3 weeks than in the last 10 years. The first ones to appear were double rainbows within an hour of arriving to an Airbnb during my second adventure in Taos. By the time I got my phone out and camera working, the second one had faded but I was still able to get a great picture. Check- it- out!

I've seen rainbows at different times and places, and have been reveling in the magic of their blessings of grace. They are a significant symbol for me in terms of where I am in my self-discovery journey and life right now.

I realize the way I experience road trips is very unique and I've been trying to pay attention to what is happening within me. My mind goes to this zone from taking in all of the scenery that is very invigorating. I'm in my head pondering when landmarks were built or what the story is behind things I see that I find captivating. I experience tons of glimmers like watching the sunrise through the car mirror. A friend recently shared the post on the link on FB and it's such a nurturing concept to take in so check out. I observed during a recent drive from Nashville back to Taos for my 3rd adventure, that my mind enters a state of wonder and my body feels alive as I wander in places that are unfamiliar to me and it's been delightful to experience.

I've been reflecting and I believe these states are a result of living with an open heart, mind and body. Which has me contemplating conditioning again and realizing that we're socialized to live in ways that are very unnatural. We're taught to function with so much stress in our bodies, live according to the expectations of others and take life so serious which has a lot of detrimental consequences to our health and wellbeing.

Which brings me back to Keanu's quote. It's about the recognition that our joy and laughter is our power! I'm not sure that's only relevant to women but I love that he values the innate beauty of these energies manifested through the feminine form. I've been really leaning into a more playful and joy-filled way of being in life lately and have witnessed some interesting shifts in my energy and how others connect with me. We're meant to be open to receive life and all its beauty and grace but often times we miss out on that because of all the stress and constriction we operate in. While a lot of it is imposed by others, I realize I have the power and responsibility to myself to chose if I'm going to uphold it.

So I've made it a point to pause, seize opportunities, enjoy nature, take detours and laugh more often, especially at myself. Think about the last time you had a real good belly laugh at yourself. I bet you have to think hard about it, I know I did until recently. I'm sharing a story so that you can practice belly laughing on me if you need to.

I've started this practice lately during my road trips of following my intuition and taking random detours when I see signs on the road that peak my interest. While I was driving through El Reno, OK, I saw a sign indicating there was an "air park" nearby. I assumed it'd be like the airport observatory park I'm used to where I live so decided to take a detour to enjoy watching planes land or take off while I rested. I was driving for quite awhile in this remote area that was nothing but open fields, rough terrain and occasional farm animals. It took me a bit to think perhaps it wasn't a good idea given the vehicle I drive. I'm not sure I've shared this but the car my dad gifted me is a red mustang. I look out my rearview mirror at the dust clouds I'm leaving behind and burst out laughing at the thought of having to explain what I was doing there to begin with if my car broke down. I start to approach an intersection and come across a street sign that reads "Mustang Field Rd." And, that got me belly laughing even harder at how absurd the story would sound and soon I realized I had to stop to potty or I'd pee my pants. And, I'm sure you can guess what happened next. πŸ˜‚

I'm sharing all of these experiences to inspire you to not only recognize but create those moments of glimmer in your life. The truth is that the way our society functions especially lately, no one is going to give you permission to do so. YOU have to choose it for yourself.

I'd love to hear your stories of glimmers, adventures or belly laughs, so reply and share.

To belly laughter and embracing life's blessings,

Miggy πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’•
